1. Are SANS products safe?
Our products are formulated sans (without) parabens, alcohol, fragrance, sulfate surfactants (SLS/ALS/SLES/ALES), medicine, mineral oils, preservatives generated formaldehyde, paraffin, petrolatum, silicone oils, mammalian preparation agents (lanolin), Diethanolamine (DEA), Monoethanolamine (MEA thickeners) and animal-derived ingredients. Our formulas are tested to be safe and effective for your skin.
2. Where are SANS products produced?
Our products are manufactured locally, in a GMP and HACCP certified facility in Malaysia. Our products are also notified to the Health Ministry of Malaysia (KKM) and in compliance with government regulations.
3. Where are SANS products' ingredients sourced from?
To reduce our carbon footprint, the ingredients in our products are often sourced locally. Unfortunately, when an ingredient cannot be sourced locally, we sometimes source from credible suppliers abroad. We also make sure that our ingredients are gathered from renewable sources.
4. Do you test on animals or use animal-derived ingredients?
No. We do not conduct nor do we condone animal testing, we also do not use animal-derived ingredients. All of the ingredients in our products are plant-derived ingredients. In brief, we are cruelty-free.
5. How long is the shelf life?
All of SANS products must be used up within 6 months after opening. If the product is still sealed, the product has an 18-month lifespan.
1. Are all of SANS packaging recyclable or reusable?
Yes! Our packaging ranging from our bottles, jars to boxes are all recyclable and reusable. Our courier bags are oxo-biodegradable. Additionally, our product boxes and mailing boxes are made with recycled materials. Rememeber to tag us at #SANSWASTE to show off your creative recycle and/or reuse projects with our packaging!
2. Why is there still plastic packaging (caps, pumps)?
Please do forgive us! We are constantly trying to improve and strive to be 100% plastic-free or 100% biodegradable packaging in the near future. However, there are certain limitations with sourcing for sustainable packaging locally. If you know of any local packaging merchants who are able to produce sustainable packaging please do let us know! 1. How should my skincare regime be built with SANS products?
You should start by cleansing with our pH balancing cleanser- pHresh cleanser , then toning with our AHA/BHA toner- two peas in a pod toner that helps with exfoliating dead skin cells, clarifying pores, and combating acne and finally locking in everything with our Niacinamide moisturiser- cream of all trades moisturiser, that is packed with all the good stuff that helps with combating dry skin, acne, fine lines, and overall, improving your skin health to give you that glow.
2. How should I know if SANS products are suitable for my skin?
Unfortunately, there are differences in each individual’s skin type and everyone reacts differently to certain skincare ingredients or products. To avoid skin irritation or allergic reactions due to sensitivity to certain skincare ingredients that might be present in our products, we recommend you to conduct a patch test before fully committing to our products. You can do so by applying a small amount of the product on the back of the ear or inner forearm, leave it on for 24-48 hours before rinsing it off and look for signs of itchiness, redness or bumpiness.
